Edward M

Edward M. Wolkowitz is a member of the Firm. He has devoted his practice to insolvency and commercial law for more than 25 years. He has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers and creditor committees in a wide variety of cases. He also serves as a chapter 11 and chapter 7 panel trustee in the Central District of California and as a receiver for the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has extensive experience in representing various interests in complex reorganization cases in a number of different and diverse industries and has also operated a number of businesses as a trustee and receiver. Between 1994 and 2002, he served as a member of the City Council Culver City, California, including two one-year terms as Mayor.

Edward has been on the faculty of Southwestern University School of Law from 1978 to 1992, and again since 2001, teaching courses in bankruptcy, commercial transactions and business reorganization. He has also lectured extensively for the California Continuing Education of the Bar, and as a panelist in programs sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
